The Farm Credit Northeast AgEnhancement Program, a joint effort of Farm Credit East, Yankee Farm Credit and CoBank, recently provided $71,500 in grant funding to 15 organizations to assist their efforts to support young and beginning farmer initiatives, encourage youth leadership development, promote diversity and inclusion, and advance northeast agriculture, forestry and commercial fishing.

Farm Credit East is accepting applications from Northeast agricultural educators to support their attendance at institutes offered by the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE). Scholarships will cover up to $1,000. The application deadline is September 30.

Farm Credit East was pleased to host 14 college students with career aspirations in production agriculture, agribusiness, accounting, finance or related fields this summer as part of its internship program. As the interns' summer experiences comes to a close, we thank each of them for their efforts which will contribute lasting value and information for association initiatives and future planning.

In conjunction with National Farmers’ Market Week, Farm Credit East is announcing its recent awarding of $33,850 in small grants to 100 farmers’ markets across the Northeast.
